Built on Experience. Evolving With Purpose.

SAI’s history reflects steady growth, long-standing relationships, and a commitment to serving customers well as markets and technologies evolve. From our beginnings as a manufacturer’s representative in Ohio to our current regional footprint, each chapter of our story has shaped how we support engineers, contractors, and building owners today.

The Story of SAI

1999 — The Merge

RG Anderson in Cincinnati merged with Stoermer Equipment Company in Dayton and became Stoermer-Anderson, Inc., allowing the company to open an office in Columbus and expand into central Ohio.

2013 — New Acquisition

Stoermer-Anderson acquired JH Ballenger Co., gaining the expertise of their sales and service staff and adding Cleaver-Brooks to the Stoermer-Anderson line card. This broadened the market to include a large portion of Kentucky and led to the opening of the Louisville branch office.

2014 — Ownership Transition

After the passing of co-owner Nick Anderson, Steve Gammeter assumed sole ownership of Stoermer-Anderson.

Looking Ahead

While SAI’s name and footprint have evolved over time, our focus has remained consistent: representing trusted manufacturers, supporting applied systems, and building long-term relationships with the people we serve. As we move forward, we remain committed to adapting thoughtfully while staying grounded in the experience and values that have guided us for more than six decades.
